About CMR

As North America’s first South Asian owned and operated FM radio station, CMR represents the growing ethnic voice of the Greater Toronto Area. Operating at 101.3 MHz on the FM band, at an effective radiated power of 1,000 watts, CMR serves as a forum for debate, discussion and exchange of community, local, national and international news, events and culture. From its leading edge facility, CMR serves more than 18 different language groups and have more than one million audience.

About South Asian Festival

Canadian Multicultural Radio (‘CMR’) presents the largest South Asian event in Canada, the ‘South Asian Fest’ each spring. However in 2010 “The South Asian Fest” is going to take place in the fall on the 30th and 31st of October 2010. International Centre, one of Canada’s premier trade and convention venues, hosts this much anticipated celebration of cultural diversity. CMR and their partners are yet again geared well to showcase the culture, food, music and businesses of Canada’s vibrant South Asian communities on the 30th and 31st of October 2010. Six successful festivals to date have generated elevated expectations and enormous crowds to this grand celebration. The event always builds upon the past events and presents unique, innovative and higher standard entertainment and services. This grand celebration of diversity, brings the many forms of music, dance, games, rides, business and creative arts under one roof. Thousands of attendees of many walks of life, 300 plus exhibitors of various interests, 2 entertainment stages, 80 plus shows and 1500 plus artists makes this event by far the most vibrant, colourful event in October 2010.
